Benedikt Maissen
Growing up in Zurich, in a family environment with an affinity for art, I was influenced by art at an early age and found in it the expression of my creativity. The proximity of other people and their encounters have always inspired me. Thus I found in painting, already at a young age, the expression of my feelings and sensations.
Autodidactically, I have refined my painting over the years.
This is reflected in the variety and expression of my paintings and the techniques I use today. In addition, there are the influences of Asian art, which shape my work. The original Asian ink drawings, which are drawn on rice paper, are inspiring for me. Another popular technique of mine is to mix ink, watercolour and acrylic, with which I can achieve expressive results. This creates precise lines and interesting plays of colours. Different colours of ink give my paintings more liveliness.

A different effect is achieved by pictures in which I combine the fusion of words and my handwriting and the design allows each viewer to make their own interpretation.
